Becoming a bit of a pro with makeup is something just about anybody can do these days. There’s that much info out there for people who want to learn, you can create professional looks in no time! Here are some of my tips to help you become a pro with makeup:
Watch YouTube Videos and Tutorials
Youtube videos and other tutorials are an absolutely amazing way to learn what you’re doing with makeup. You can learn in the comfort of your own home, and many of them are in depth tutorials that take you through methods step by step. You’ll learn incredible techniques that you didn’t even know existed.
Invest in Quality Makeup Tools
Quality makeup tools will help you to get an even better look with your makeup. It isn’t all about the tools; of course it’s possible to make your makeup look on point with the most basic of tools. That being said, having some great brushes and sponges will just make the process easier. When I first bought a beauty blender I was amazed and could tell the difference almost instantly!
Research the Best Makeup for Your Skin Type
Make sure you’re not only using good makeup, but makeup that suits your skin type. If you ignore your skin type, you could actually be making your complexion worse underneath all of the makeup. This won’t leave you with as much of a flawless finish! Make sure that if you have dry skin, you’re using a foundation that’s good for dry skin. If you have oily skin, you’re using one that’s good for that. This will always leave you with the best finish!
Do a Course
Why not do a course on makeup if you’re serious about getting good at it? You could do a basic makeup application course if you’re a total newbie, or even a special effects makeup course. Whatever you decide to do, you’ll learn some invaluable tips.
Learn Techniques for Your Face Shape and Colouring
Some other factors that can play a big part in how your makeup turns out, is your face shape and colouring. Doing makeup that suits your face shape is important. This will affect how you do your eye makeup, contour, and where you place your blush. You can make your face look slimmer or wider depending on how you do it! Your eye colour, skin colour, and hair colour can all play a big part in it too. Make sure you choose tones that will suit you!
The key to becoming a makeup pro is practicing. If you don’t practice, you can’t expect to get any better. Make time to practice different techniques each day and soon your friends will be asking you for your secrets. You might even start making your own tutorials!
